Really like this hotel. The staff goes out of their way to be helpful. Stayed overnight to go to a concert, and when I called ahead to tell them we'd be getting in late, the manager told me he lived near the venue and gave us a great suggestion to get out at the end of the show without getting stuck in the parking lot for 2 hours. 10 minutes later, he said, we'd be at the hotel. He was right. When you're traveling with kids help like that is gold. We'll be back.
Our room was meticulously clean. Tamara was our housekeeper, and she does an impeccable job keeping those rooms clean.
The view is great. The location is ideal. There's a charging station for your electric car, and it's free, which I always appreciate when traveling with my own vehicle. And everyone of the staff members were fantastic.
The hotel rooms are dated and could really use to be refreshed. The flooring is stained, the mattresses are old and worn, the sinks are cracked, it's just old.
Happy Hour is all day, 8am-9pm.
Overall, our stay here was well worth the price! I feel like I got a lot more value here than the 23 other hotels I've stayed at this year. Other upscale hotels and resorts are sometimes just as worn out and they charge you if you touch the water and coffee cup, (looking at you every MGM brand) but here there's bottled water, tea and coffee on your table daily. These little amenities are always appreciated, and not always available at hotels.
My family and I really enjoyed our weekend stay here. The location is perfect as it's right along the Virginia Beach Boardwalk. Everything is within easy walking distance and the ocean view from the rooms is breathtaking. There were a few issues, but overall the stay was pleasant. The rooms could have been cleaner. Everything seemed very clean at first. However, after closer inspection, I found a band-aid stuck to the sink and a small speck of blood inside the bowl. The toilet needed cleaned around and the shower drain was clogged with hair causing the water to be ankle deep by the end of showering. The floor could have been swept better in my opinion. The door latch on the sliding door was broken and would not lock properly, leaving us and our belongings at risk. Also, the door to the parking garage was directly across from our room and slammed extremely loudly each time someone went through it even throughout the night time and early morning hours. The downstairs bathroom in the lobby smelled horribly. Also, door dashers are not allowed to bring orders to individual rooms causing a great inconvenience for guests. Every time, I had to go meet with my door dasher downstairs. Even with so many issues, we were still appreciative of the crisp clean linens, politeness of the staff and cleaners, and the superior location and views. We were also very happy to have access to free coffee in the lobby. The good outweighed the bad in the end but it was worth noting the issues that can be fixed to make their hotel even better.
The hotel has been recently renovated and is very nice inside. We had zero issues. Beds are comfortable and the shower was hot! The free coffee in the morning is delicious. The view of the pier and the ocean is delightful! I would stay here again.
Our stay was good but had some weird things happen though, we had a fire alarm 5 AM. Had to take the stairs from way up.
But all on all rooms were quiet and clean, folks at the front desk were friendly and accommodating. Ocean front and driving a Tesla was able to plug up. Made for a worry free week end.
Staying here was awesome for a couple of days. Walks on the beach are fun jumping shrimp location is good. The shower curtains inside the shower needs to have little weights inside. Everytime I shower the curtain moves closer to me because of the wind so there's needs a little bit of weight everything else though is perfect.
The location was great. The front desk clerks where nice but there were some unfriendly house keepers and maintenance workers. The Tv was out due to storm, and it was taking a long time to get it back up and running. We checked out and went to another hotel nearby. They were nice about it no extra charge. The only way I stay at the Sheraton. If I don't have another choice.
This hotel had a beautiful location. They have an indoor pool and fitness center. The staff is very friendly and accommodating. Beautiful views from the balcony. Convenient parking in their parking garage. Our only concern was there were no safety bars in the bath/shower. Most hotels we stay in have safety bars forgetting in and out of the shower/tub. Staff was accommodating and provided a shower chair for extra safety. This is just something to be aware of for seniors or those with mobility issues. Handicapped rooms are available when making reservations.
